Topic > What is the archival definition of school psychology?

The archival definition of school psychologist stated that the school psychologist must have a doctorate; however, the North Carolina Department of Education states that school psychologists may have an advanced degree. The archival definition proclaims that school psychologists provide services to children; however, the description of NCs does not clarify the age at which school psychologists begin working with children. The NASP also does not clarify the age, but mentions a variety of educational settings that school psychologists can choose to work outside of the traditional school setting such as private practices or charter schools. Each of the three definitions mentioned above describes the training that can be provided by the school psychologist to teachers to improve classroom teaching
