HospiceIn my essay I will explain what hospices are, what they do and how they do it. I will also talk about who does it and what their response is to what hospice has provided them. This essay will also explain how hospice is the alternative to euthanasia, pain and suffering. The Hospice movement represents a Christian response to pain and suffering. What is a hospice? A hospice is a home for the care of terminally ill patients (people who are dying). The purpose of a hospice is to improve the quality of life of the dying person and bring relief to family members. Hospices are different from hospitals because hospitals treat or treat patients to get well and return to society until they need care again due to an accident or checkup, etc. However hospices care for people who know their time is near, so they go to this hospice to feel better. their pain and suffering and live the rest of their days feeling loved and appreciated. When they are in Hospice they don't necessarily have to stay there and socialize with other patients, they can also leave the hospice to go out and have fun. St Christopher's Hospice================ ========The founder of the modern hospice movement in Britain is Dame CicerlySaunders, born in (1918). She initially trained as a nurse, but had to abandon it due to back pain. At one point in her career she became very close to a man named David Tasma. Dame CicerlySaunders decided to found the hospice because at the time of this report she realized that there would have to be a place to care for the sick and wondered if she could set up... middle of paper... because normally the people would die with the fear of what comes next, but the hospice provides treatment for the mind so that they have "peace of mind". I also think hospice is a good thing because you have to deal with difficult issues. A man once said, "The key to immortality is to live a life worth remembering." This quote actually comes from Bruce Lee. I'm amazed that at his age he was able to think of such a philosophy. Christians agree with hospices because they are an alternative to euthanasia. They believe this because if someone went to ask for euthanasia and another went to a hospice, the person who chose euthanasia would leave this world troubled because they don't know what will happen next. On the other hand the hospice gives them peace of mind and understanding that they are not afraid of God because He is merciful and loving..
