Topic > The study of postcolonial feminist Mahasweta Devi

The study of contemporary postcolonial feminist Mahasweta Devi's short stories “Drupadi, the breast donor, behind the bodice” clearly expresses the class and gender point of view. It highlights the fact that the society in which Mahasweta operates appears to be sharply divided into two classes: the rich and privileged, and the unprivileged. The woman turns out to be a low class that has been dominated and does not seem to have achieved freedom even in independent countries. His sufferings are often underestimated and in the end he joins the latter class which never manages to assert his rights and dignity. Class conflicts have always been present in history. In fact, what matters for a person to maintain is neither caste nor class, but economic status. A person is judged by his spending capacity or the position he holds. Mahasweta Devi's focus remains on the socioeconomic aspects that divide society on aspects of disability. Here the term disabled refers in particular to the economic disability of the person who strategically remains low. He imposed the class struggle in his Breast trilogy in every way. Its protagonists "Gangor, Drupadi, Jashoda" are all in distinct and different circumstances, but the constant struggle that takes place in their lives with ultimate oppression is due to class struggle. It also addresses gender issues and differences seen between the sexes through sociology. -economic relationship that ultimately influences the oppression of the female identity of indigenous Third World women. The peculiarity of domination of subaltern women by men who claim to be illiterate, has been clearly stated that Mahasweta Devi's portrayal of women who have faced repression are not literate. Here, she protests... in the middle of the paper... subversive and migrant identities. Extracting the tales, Devi's descriptions of the exciting contribution of local traditions and oppressed women are visibly seen with their pathetic conditions. Devi's train of thought allows her to engage with poor rural women who are about to condemn her protest writings that evidently oppose class and gender conflict. Therefore, the complex gender and class issues de facto accepted with the subaltern identity have shown that they are in the extreme condition of oppression and are also victimized economically and sexually. This project explored how class and gender go together and strategically approach people with lower standards. and victimized them to varying degrees. These also generate a new scope of ideas with society's recognition of the violence of the gaze by women.
