The Constitution means something different to everyone, to some it is a piece of paper, but to me it is a standard by which the country must be run giving us the freedoms we believe in every day human merits. I have known for a long time that I would like to join the US Army and now I have recently realized that by doing so I am defending the American way of life established by the Constitution. This document is the reason our country stands apart from everyone else, the people in this country are free to do what they want (to some extent), and the armed service risks their lives every day to defend that right. As people begin to express their freedom more than ever, it sometimes seems distressing for those defending their rights with reckless actions they are taking. But I understand that my future depends on the defense of these rights because one day, when I have something to say, I would like to enjoy the same freedoms that these individuals are expressing. I have every confidence that the forefathers of the United States had what they wanted for the future of the nation and that we must now and forever follow the standards set forth in the Constitution to keep this country great and free from
