Unlike European countries, we have a higher level of acceptance when we interact with people from different cultural backgrounds, from business to media approach (Bastian, 2012, p . 67; Bouma, 2015). For example, most Muslim women wear hijab or yarmulke to work as this is a tradition of their culture. In some European countries this was prohibited. People thought it was inappropriate to present companies' image in this way (Bouma, 2015). However, in Australia, this has not been an issue as people understand that there are differences between different cultures. Employees and students in Australia are able to follow the rules and, at the same time, maintain their traditions (Bouma, 2015). Not only are businesses and schools responsible for eliminating barriers between cultures, but the media is also responsible for this as it can influence people's approach to intercultural communication (Bastian, 2012, p. 68). Bastian (2012, p. 68) stated that it is necessary to promote a balanced understanding between cultures, since when there are no prejudices or prejudices, it becomes easier to build a better multiculturalism.
