The film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and the book The Hobbit, however, have many similarities; They have their own changes and differences. The book is more detailed than the film. The director of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is Peter Jackson and the author of The Hobbit is JRR Tolkien. Some episodes told in The Hobbit are also shown in the film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. In the film and in the book Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit half our height, without a beard and with brown hair. He does not wear shoes because they have feet on which natural leathery soles grow (Tolkien,2). Gandalf walks along the path of Bilbo Baggin's hobbit lair and is looking for someone to share an adventure he is planning (Tolkien,4).
