Judaism, Islam and Christianity are some of the religions that most people can relate to, being the three largest religions in the world. Like many religions, they share many differences and also some similarities. One difference that these religions hold is their view of Jesus Christ. Similarities are surprisingly common between some religions due to the foundations that overlap with each other. Some similarities between these religions include: the belief in monotheism and the influence Zoroastrianism has had on each religion. Also another similarity brought forward by these three religions would be the meaning of Abraham. Some other differences include: religious texts and also how they approach God in prayer. One similarity that has great significance in the world of all three religions is the importance of Abraham. Abraham is mentioned in the Old Testament, used in both the Jewish faith and Christianity. Islam also refers to Abraham as well as the man who had to make the sacrifice of giving up his son. His obedience was highly appreciated and recognized in all these religions. Throughout the many passages of each holy book, God refers to Abraham as a friend. Knowing this relationship, these religions have held Abraham in their religions as obedience to God through the numerous acts he performed. All three of these religions have the common influence of Zoroastrianism. Although the Islamic faith may have had a greater impact, Judaism and Christianity were also influenced by this religion: "Zoroaster was thus the first to teach the doctrines of individual judgment, of Heaven and Hell, of the future resurrection of the body , of the general Last Judgment and eternal life for the soul and body reunited. Each religion has a set of beliefs, or values, which if broken would make religion irrelevant. Islam and Christianity can never reconcile their faiths without ignoring the basis of their individual religious practice. Works Cited Lewis M. Hopfe and Mark R.
