Texting, techspeak, and interpolations: The relationship between texting and English grammatical skills by Drew P. Cingel and S. Shyam Sundar (2012), is an article that discusses the connection between text messaging in adolescents and poor English grammatical skills (Cingel & Sundar, 2012). Cingel began the study as a student investigating the effects of texting on grammatical skills after receiving text messages from his nieces that were incomprehensible. (2012, July 26).
