Topic > Siddhartha - 726

In the final chapter of Siddhartha's life he faced various obstacles and events. These events had transformed him into an enlightened and competent man. In Herman Hesse's Siddhartha he begins as a hearty, polite young man. Little by little he transforms into a man of desolation who tries to gain awareness and return to reality. Through peace, conflict, desperation and salvation Siddhartha is enlightened and strengthened to create a life full of content. We aspire to live a life where there is no food shortage, no disease, no housing shortage and no conflict. There are two sides to everything, peace and conflict, happiness or sadness, poverty or wealth. Siddhartha lived on the privileged and auspicious side, where he was blinded by the realism of life. Siddhartha was among the lucky few to be advantaged and privileged enough to live in a small, thriving community. "Everyone loved Siddhartha, he brought everyone joy, he delighted them." (Page 4: lines 20-21) In that community Siddhartha was a charismatic and amazing individual, who everyone aspired to meet. Times were peaceful and healthy for Siddhartha. “One day, when Siddhartha joins the Gods, people will follow him” (page 5: line 16) although this does not specifically refer to the peacemaking action, I have a feeling that this quote holds a deeper meaning. Siddhartha not only had money and noble appearance, but he had a character and reputation that made others want to be like him. This status leads me to agree that he had a life of extravagance and reconciliation, which are the resources of peace. "Siddhartha grew up as --- the beautiful son of the Brahmin, the young falcon." (Page 1: Lines 14-15) No insecurity was consumed in him, and he had t... middle of paper... chronology of his life. "From that moment on, Siddhartha stopped fighting against his destiny. On his face shone the serenity of knowledge, of one who is no longer faced with the conflict of desires, of one who has found salvation, of one who is in harmony with the course of events , with the current of life, full of sympathy and compassion, which abandons itself to the current, belonging to the unity of things." (Chapter 15) It was here, on this river, that Siddhartha chose salvation. The initiation process allows us as readers to fully immerse ourselves in the characters' encounters, conflicts, and journeys. Siddhartha showed strength and enrichment during this cycle, as well as endured great pain to become a more ferocious person. Through conflict, desperation, peace and salvation Siddhartha is enlightened by experiences and understandings that lead to the final outcome of salvation.
