Most autistic children have different abilities and tasks that they can and cannot perform. It is important to raise awareness of children with autism. Most people don't realize how many children are diagnosed with autism. Autistic children are not always the same, there are children diagnosed with different types of autism. According to Autism Speaks, “Autism appears to have its roots in very early brain development. However, the most obvious signs and symptoms of autism tend to emerge between 2 and 3 years of age” (“What is Autism”). Autism spectrum disorder and autism are different types of complex brain developmental disorders. These types of disorders are shown by their individual characteristics and also by their difficulties in social interaction and verbal and nonverbal communication behaviors. Children diagnosed with autism often have other conditions, such as epilepsy, sensitivity, depression, or anxiety. They react to simulators in their own way. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can also be linked to intellectual ability; have problems with mental coordination, attention, and sometimes problems with physical health issues such as sleep. Some children with ASD are good at visual skills, math, music, art and other subjects. Children who have mental coordination problems may also have trouble processing a task that has been assigned to them. When drawing a visual diagram it helps autistic children to see what is being explained and what they are being asked to do. Some children diagnosed with autism may also be good at math and problem solving. Children with ASD may also be good at music, such as singing, playing an instrument, listening to rhythm, or feeling the vibrations being given off by their child... middle of paper... transition from being non-dependent to opportunities for independence and work in adulthood. Growing evidence indicates that a small portion of children with autism progress to the point where they are no longer able to meet the threshold for diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. There are many reasons why it exists. They include changing a misdiagnosis, the possibility that some children as adults develop different forms of autism than they had as children. Sometimes with an autistic child the autistic mindset can develop and may no longer meet the criteria for the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Some children who no longer meet the criteria for the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder are later diagnosed with attention deficit. Children diagnosed with autism have their own disabilities and strengths.
