As I investigate changes in my lifestyle factors, I observe strong interactions between eating habits, mindset, various relationships, and physical activity that support my health. In balancing these factors, I consider my eating habits fundamental. By knowing the effects of food, I am able to make choices in difficult situations that allow me to maintain high energy, stay focused throughout the day, and have a positive mental attitude that helps me respond to relationships in a positive way. Incorporating a nutrient-dense, whole foods diet has helped me have a positive mindset during difficult situations. In stressful or uncomfortable circumstances, I challenge myself to focus first on a positive aspect of each situation. Not being so quick to spot the negatives, my mindset remains constant throughout the day without going through a roller coaster of emotions. In the past I have struggled with being too quick to judge a situation negatively, which led to me becoming angry and upset very quickly. My husband regularly commented on how pessimistic I had become over the years. I directly link this negative attitude to stressful family and work relationships, lack of physical activity and poor eating habits. With her support and overcoming my dietary inadequacies, I was able to overcome this sad attitude and can now find the silver lining in situations that were once impossible. Along with my past challenges with a pessimistic mindset, I have struggled with harmful family relationships with some family members. For many years of running to their aid and due to the destructive nature of these relationships, I often became depressed and my health worsened due to these… middle of paper… My husband and I are working on this area of our lifestyle and with your support I hope to increase my physical activity by adding a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise per day. On the days I succeed with this addition, I see an improvement in my overall lifestyle. As I reflect on these lifestyle factors, I notice a strong connection to the changes I have made and how each area has been affected. Since addressing my eating habits, I feel like my life has been completely changed in extremely positive ways. Without my husband's support I would not have been able to make these positive changes. He continually pushes and supports me and I am incredibly lucky to have such a supportive partner. As I continue to work to improve each area, I look forward to the positive ways in which my health will continue to grow and the mutual interaction.
