``To be or not to be``, a popular quote from Hamlet shows the manifestation of the existentialism of reason in his world. A world where he is the prince of a country whose throne was taken in blood by his uncle. This world full of deception is the perfect body for thoughts about one's self-worth to thrive. A world that once had a respective prospect of the throne, only to become a cesspool of betrayal and incestuous relationships. The protagonist Hamlet has his world torn apart, where he sees actions that create conflicting thoughts about himself. So much so that he wonders how he hasn't taken matters into his own hands yet, knowing that his uncle is truly behind his father's murder. While calling himself a coward who fights with words, like his uncle who manipulates others with his split tongue. But having been mistreated by those against him, Hamlet often reflects on his own worth. Will killing Claudio bring him any gain? Would it be the cause of his life? What would bring more blood to me? Self-esteem, the thoughts that give Hamlet the conflict between his thoughts, become our entry into his perspective. Where self-esteem is what drives him and keeps him from his evil thoughts. This is what Hamlet often reflects on in his thoughts, his self-worth in his corrupt world. Conflicting thoughts are often profound in Hamlet, such as how he is faced with the choice "now or never" but has always approached them carefully. One was when Hamlet speaks as he walks into an empty room and begins to wonder why we do what we do. “To be or not to be: that is the question” 127, a famous quote from Hamlet. Provoke the thought of reason in his actions. Acting now or later would be his thought... middle of paper ......position in lifeHamlet's life full of deceit and death is the very example of the conflicts of one's self. Where he is conflicted in his thoughts about himself, who he wants to be, and what he can do. A life where he can submit to each of his desires, take revenge on his father or continue to be the price of Denmark who is everyone's ideal prince. But even for those surrounding Hamlet, no matter who, they will all die and be forgotten. What is the overall ending for Hamlet, he will die and be forgotten like those before him, but it doesn't matter what the end of life is. Even for those who held power their fame sooner or later ends. And for Hamlet it's exactly the same thing. These extensional thoughts are highlighted in Hamlet, where our thoughts are in conflict about who we are and what we perceive in others. But in the end we die and become dust that is forgotten by the wind.
