The story was great as it shows cultural values, moral issues and gives a message to people about what is really happening in our society from then until now. However I felt a bit of religious bias because it only shows one religion, usual issues among many films which I think didn't help our society become who we are nor them. Obviously what we believe and what is around us is what truly influences us, shapes us and shapes us into who we are now, but I think it depends on people and ourselves how they behave or whether they will believe and follow others. We were created as individuals with our own mind and body, so discipline comes after ourselves. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? Get Original Essay Discipline is something that is embodied and cannot be taught by any religion or people, if one is not willing to do so he will not have it at all. The story is good but at first it is confusing to me, perhaps due to the layout of the plot and too many twists, however it later conveys a message to our society as it is evidently seen to this day. When it comes to the cinematography, I was so amazed considering it was made many years before me. I was only bothered by all the music used in the film. Music and sounds are another factor, for me when I watch films music helps convey the emotion of the situation. It gives different moods and emotions like surprise, fear and excitement to people during the scenes. When it comes to the actors, I find them really good at playing their roles. In this movie Christopher de Leon's acting talent was really great after knowing that it is his debut movie, he is really a great actor and it is no surprise why he is active in Philippine television and cinema so far. He is one among the artists and actors whose eyes speak much more than his mouth could. His acting is like a pro knowing that it's his first film, so two thumbs up for him, especially for the scene where he has a cat fight with his friend who talks about their life as husband and wife. Christopher de Leon's way and timing in delivering the lines were precise, exact and convincing, which made me feel like he really felt how he should feel while filming. What a great actor! As for Eddie Garcia, I've watched a lot of his movies and most of his role is that of a womanizer, so I think it was just normal for him. But his talent is also great. I find Evangeline, Junior's girlfriend who paints a “good girls are the bad girls who weren't caught” irritating; because she feels and embodies so much the idea of being the most beautiful girl in town, so this gives her the justification to flirt with anyone who shows affection towards her. But the fact that she irritates me proves that she is also a good actress. Lolita Rodriguez, on the other hand, is very good. Playing the role of a crazy woman was not that easy, and being the lead actress at the same time, her acting skills do justice to this film. However I noticed that Lolita Rodriguez acting the way she walked was not at all convincing, because seeing crazy people on the streets she could have done it exaggerating or at least talking or crying while walking instead of playing with the people around the village. Junior's friends are also great because they add spice to the movie and they also really enjoyed this movie, especially the "kiss and tell guy" who became Evangeline's husband. They are very convincing.
