Group Interaction – “The effective teacher knows how to quickly get the classroom back in order, explain rules and procedures, find out important information about students, and let them know what to expect in class the next few days ” (p. 8). Teachers who show good group interaction are able to control the class. Furthermore, I am able to stimulate and direct classroom discussions in a way that encourages independent thinking and appreciation of external points of view. They can gauge whether or not the class is following the material and are able to sense student motivation and play with them to increase understanding. They use humor and wit to connect with students and keep them engaged even in less lively moments
