During my time in the military, I was also the victim of a security breach by the government. I remember receiving a letter in the mail from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) saying in a nutshell that it had been hacked. In the end nothing was discovered, at least nothing of mine was different or stolen, so I thought everything was fine, however that mentality is a dangerous way of thinking.
