When I saw the movie “Fly Away Home”, I thought it would be about a boy who gets lost in another city and tries to find himself home end, but when I first realize this situation of this girl and her father trying to help the geese. Considering how they can help them by flying Thomas' contraptions that he earns for a living, he quickly realizes how strange it is that the geese only respond to his daughter Amy instead of him. Later in the movie the geese saw Amy first and took her as their mother. The geese learn how to survive from their mother and in this film they imprinted on Amy. They follow her around, learn from her what to eat, learn where it is safe to walk, and eventually learn how to migrate south for the winter. The attachment process in newborns is very different. Children develop an attachment to their caregivers, not to the person they see for the first time. If humans imprinted on animals, they would think the doctor or nurse was their mother since they usually see a doctor or nurse first.
