During the past few decades, college drinking, excessive drinking is taking place on college campuses. Highly publicized reports have raised public awareness of high rates of excessive alcohol consumption among college students. Furthermore, Wechsler, Nelson, and Lee JE, research experts on college drinking, concluded that binge eating is the most serious public health problem facing U.S. colleges. The state has had a contentious discussion about measures to take action against binge eating that has become part of so-called campus culture. Not just in the United States, many countries around the world have the same problem on college campuses. As in many European countries, college drinking has turned into something of a mainstream culture in the United States and the changing culture of college drinking has had to be addressed. However, aside from the harm and injuries that occur every year during semester break, the only consequences of college drinking that usually attract public attention are the occasional student deaths from excessive alcohol use, such as alcohol poisoning. alcohol or other alcohol-related tragedies. (Ramaley) Indeed, the consequences of drinking in college are much more than casual and normal. According to studies, 1,825 college students between the ages of 18 and 24 died from unintentional alcohol-related injuries, including car accidents, while 599,000 students were unintentionally injured from the influence of alcohol (Hingson et al., 2009) . College alcohol use also leads to serious injuries, assaults, sexual abuse, and other health and academic problems. The impacts of excessive drinking in college are more widespread and destructive than most people realize. Therefore, this essay will first look at students suffering from significant consequences due to their excessive alcohol consumption. Actions should be taken to control the current situation of binge drinking among college students, as stated earlier, the law on drinking age can help. Additionally, it has been a very concerning issue in the United States, and studies show that 77% of Americans agree that policies should be established to protect college students from alcohol, which represents overwhelming support for the MLDA. Furthermore, many studies show that the consequences can be alleviated by strengthening the law. For the above reasons, the Alcohol Law and other related policies should be implemented throughout the United States as soon as possible.
