Many girls dream of having a better life, so they agree to meet other countries. One of the goals they have is to provide for their family financially. However, they never realize that their dreams could be shattered by the crime of human trafficking. Human trafficking is the illegal trade of human beings for the purposes of reproductive slavery and commercial sexual exploitation. The word "traffic" includes the word "traffic", which means transportation or travel. However, the words look and sound the same, but they do not have the same meaning. It is also considered forced labor or a modern form of slavery. It is considered the second largest crime. Human trafficking does not require the physical movement of a person, but must involve the exploitation of the person for labor or sexual purposes. There are many factors behind human trafficking, such as poverty, broken families and corruption. Poverty is a major driver of human trafficking because most poor people have fewer opportunities for education and stable employment. The victims of human trafficking are mainly women. Asian women are believed to be experiencing a sharp increase in human trafficking. According to the International Labor Office, 80% of victims of trafficking across international borders are women, and 70% of these women and girls are trafficked for sexual exploitation or forced labor. These women have lied and promise good jobs or studies and then force the victims into prostitution. Many agree to work because of the debt they have to pay for the trip. Additionally, victims of human trafficking are not allowed to leave once they arrive at their destination. They are held against their will through acts of coercion and forced to work or provide services… middle of paper… threatened to kill their family. Furthermore, when the individual reaches his destination, his passport is taken away and he is offered a job, but in return they ask the individual to work for them forever. One factor that leads women into trafficking or forced labor is education. Many of the women involved in human trafficking have a moderate education. The agents or debt holders take advantage of the individual because they know the fact and therefore the individual cannot read and write. Therefore, the master or debt holder makes the individual sign a contract to work for them. Another factor that leads women to become traffickers is poverty. Almost every individual who is a trafficker is poor. Many traffickers work in these places to be able to send money to their families. In some cases, this is the only way the family gets financial support.
