The Fourth Amendment is fundamental to America's most important values. This amendment gives us the right not to be unreasonably searched and seized. These values include privacy, respect for private property, and protection from being stopped by the police unnecessarily. While this amendment has its advantages, it also has its disadvantages. People are having their rights taken away. This amendment raises many concerns. Unfortunately, you can only receive protection if the government searches or seizes you. Furthermore, if someone videotapes you, spies on you, or even peers into your window, the government does not consider it a Fourth Amendment issue. However, when the police or a person who works with the police does these things, problems can occur. On the other hand, if you show illegal things to the public even in the privacy of your own home, you don't even have the protection of the Fourth Amendment.
