When we talk about English 1110, everyone knows that the main part of the course is writing. The goal of this lesson is to improve students' structure, writing style, thinking, and performance. During this semester, the curriculum includes essays and topics from many different aspects of different issues that are helpful to me. From this course I had the opportunity to improve my writing skills. For example, before writing an article, I always have an outline, strategies, arrangement and editing, as well as come up with ideas to improve my writing style in a better way. Before taking English 1101, I would simply write an essay with what I thought of that moment and I didn't care whether my essay was comprehensible or not; however, I have improved over the last three months. When I see a title, I start writing down all the ideas and also create a structure and order of all the documents in a reasonable way. Furthermore, in all the response papers I did during this semester I started to have a different way of thinking by listening to my friends' arguments, feedback or comments, agreements or disagreements. Those friend group activities were helpful because I started to recognize what the right and wrong things are in my essay. From there, I have my own opinions and defend my arguments. As a writer, my greatest strength is structuring the essay as an introduction, body and conclusion, and above all thesis. In EAP I was carefully taught about this, the construction of the introduction, a thesis is the main factor because it is the main point of the essay. However, organizing ideas and putting them into sentences is not my strong point. For example, in the essay there were a lot of ideas and arguments that I collected and put them randomly in paragraphs... in the center of the paper... in the songs. We listen to those songs and feel them in different ways depending on each individual person. Even the articles have the same reaction. To fully understand the content of any paragraphs, poems, etc., I have to partially judge the parts based on the information and knowledge the author provides me. The ability to judge is very powerful, although one can also make mistakes (poor judgment!). During this semester, I have improved my prediction skills better than before, so I feel more confident in judging the meaning of Pollan's arguments in the Omnivore's Dilemma. Therefore, judgment is a thinking skill that is important in my life and my future. In my personal opinion, if we consider all the information carefully, although the matter may not be adequate to justify the reasons, but good judgment and optimism can help me succeed in the future .
