Topic > How Specific Quotes Affect A Midsummer Night's Dream

There is a quote in A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare that says, "The course of true love never ran smooth ". This quote accurately describes every single love story, perhaps ever. There is no story or tale that says the love was absolutely perfect. The love itself was, but the path that led to love and the couple to being together was not. Try to think of a romantic story that doesn't involve any kind of conflict. There isn't one that comes to mind, just like the cases in A Midsummer Night's Dream with Hermia and Lysander, Demetrius and Helen, and Pyramus and Thisbe. For starters, Hermia and Lysander were both madly in love with each other in Midnight Summer Dream. However, their fairytale love had its problems. When two people love each other, people often wonder: why get in their way? The answer is simple because either you don't realize what they're feeling and think you know better, or you're not aware of the situation. The first is the case of Hermia and Lysander. Hermia had several problems to solve in order to be with her beloved Lysander. At first, her father disapproved of the love and thought that Hermia should marry Demetrius, a man of equal rank and with the appearance of Lysander. In Act 1, Scene 1, between lines 170 and 180, Hermia says: “…I swear to you on Cupid's strongest bow…In that same place you named me, Tomorrow indeed I will meet with you. " Here he is saying that he agrees to run away with Lysander. After solving the problem by deciding to run away, Lysander somehow fell in love with Helena. Little to Hermia's knowledge, Lysander was under the control of potions that caused him to fall madly in love with Helena. Hermia didn't let that get in her way though, she insisted on telling Lysander that that shit... in the middle of the paper... is that information. Helena loved a man who for a long time did not return her feelings. He was in the ultimate friend zone. In fact, Demetrius hated her for a while in their strange relationship. Through Helena's constant love (and perhaps some magic) Demetrius fell in love with Helena. If that relationship wasn't messed up, there are no words to describe it. In truth, Helena's love story did not unfold as easily as ever before. As explained above, almost no love story works perfectly, but that's what makes love so special. Love is willing to face difficult times to be together, no matter what may happen. Love is willing to give up everything you have for another person. Love is willing to take the road less traveled. The path that doesn't run smoothly. The characters above all were in love in the best way possible, and that's what makes their stories so epic.
