In this article, the criteria that determine what makes a good educator will be discussed and evaluated. We will delve into the key points such as knowledge beliefs, skills and depositions that an educator of young children should possess. Along with this, the topic of what a good teacher should know about his students will be addressed. We will look at the differences of a general education teacher and compare/contrast with a special education teacher. Finally, what will be discussed will be the teachers who have played a significant role in my personal life. I will be sure to share experiences and provide examples of how they have changed my personal beliefs and theories. Each expressed their personal beliefs about teaching, education, and what actually makes a good and useful teacher. It is difficult to answer this topic in a few short words. Personally, I believe that good teachers are made up of the following: knowledge of the skills of all aspects of child learning and development, patience, and a desire to see a change in the way the world views education. Not only that, but a teacher must know how to arouse the cognitive, social-emotional and physical needs of students. Finally, a teacher must be dedicated to their work and know that, whatever the outcome, at the end of the school year, they have done their best to pass on their knowledge to the children. It takes a lot to be a teacher, and it is difficult, but I believe that those who are called to do so can be extraordinary, exemplary people who can change a child's life. Although some dare to disagree, I believe that young children are more difficult to teach. Educators of young children teach the basic foundations and principles of life that ena...... middle of paper ......was eight years old, my mother had only been teaching for a few years, but in middle school. I knew that working with younger children was what I wanted to do, even though I didn't know how at the time. Teaching and working with children was a passion for me and now I will go to school to make it my profession. In conclusion, teachers are the basis of all learning and each, if applied correctly, has a beautiful gift. The gift given to teachers to bestow upon their students is something that other people are unable to understand. I personally believe that I am called to teach, love, and nurture children, helping them understand and retain the necessary knowledge of life. Teaching for me means dedicating one's whole life to school and improving the children who attend classes. I will dedicate my lifelong learning to educating and improving the lives of students.
