Reading and writing are two skills that can be developed together. They work cohesively because you learn so much from reading that it takes you right back to writing. Personally, I believe, all good readers go back and reflect on the piece of literature they just read. “The true importance of reading is that it creates ease and intimacy with the writing process… Constant reading will bring you to a place where you can write with enthusiasm and without self-consciousness” (King). Reading develops the skills of a good writer. It leads to being able to write without having to think too much about the context. It flows directly onto a sheet without having to think twice. I think I'm a strong writer when I know the context. I honestly wouldn't be able to write a strong article about my summer reading assignments because I skimmed the book to figure out what was going on when I came across a quote I liked. Writing an article about something I'm familiar with isn't that difficult. Therefore, being able to move from reading a text to writing a text is something a good reader can do
