pay attention and actually learn something new. For example, in one of my many lessons we formed a big circle so we could get to know each other and no one was communicating with each other, everyone was on their phones or iPods. Communication is actually thorough and it shouldn't be that way, having to talk to people online because they won't pay attention to you in person is really crazy. Young people spend so much time on their cell phones that they don't even notice when someone older is talking to them because they are too busy browsing social networks or texting. Another impact social media has on young teens is how they communicate with people on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram versus how they communicate with someone in person. People no longer know how to communicate face to face and actually sit and talk during dinner because they are constantly on the phone on these social networks without paying attention to anyone, especially adult people. They don't know how to have a normal conversation with the person next to them because they're too busy sending it to them...
