There are several documented cases very similar to those shown in the video, where DNA testing has shown that innocent people have been put to death (or about to be put to death) by the government. We have a highly flawed justice system in which less fortunate defendants are given little or no legal attention by often less qualified individuals. (Capital punishment should be abolished) Some would blame this problem on the justice system and government prosecutions, not necessarily on the death penalty itself. However, one must consider that mistakes cannot be made and pride cannot interfere when someone's life is in danger. At the same point it is useless in the sense that it does not “bring the victim back to life” so to speak (capital punishment). This is probably one of the most important reasons to abolish the death penalty. “It can't change the fact that the victim is gone and will never come back.” (Capital Punishment) Hatred, revenge and anger will never heal the emptiness of a lost loved one. Forgiveness is the only way to begin the healing process, and this will not happen in an individual focused on revenge..
