Many parents think that it is necessary for their children to have cell phones with them for after-school trips and also to keep track of their children. As Minnetonka Principal David Adney said, "I see the benefits of students having camera phones with them: to take photos at prom or prom, or to prove to parents that they really are where they say they are." (Adney, David). Parents are also worried that their teenagers may have an emergency problem at school and may contact their parents immediately. In my opinion, students don't need cell phones during school hours because schools already have phones that help students contact their parents in case of emergency. Additionally, if parents need to contact their children, they can do so through the school. After all this, most cell phones have cameras and this problem represents an invasion of privacy in schools. Some students who have camera phones misuse them. They can take photos or videos of other students changing clothes in the gym or locker room and spread them around school. This can also happen to teachers. As Mr. Collier said, “he would not tolerate being filmed or photographed by students in or out of the classroom. Teachers are human beings, individuals and want to protect their privacy” (Collier, Peter). Some students make fun of their teachers and make videos of students playing practical jokes on teachers
