Haxhi Track Professor Ryan, McCormick Assignment no. Document 1 Draft 2 Tuesday 1 April 2014 Section n. 1 The Tartarus of the Maids The industrial revolution forced people to change their way of life. Most human beings today do not behave as they want but as they should. We view industrialization as the source of the higher standards of living that we enjoy in our daily modern lives. This is actually true, but industrial modernization exerts a great influence on the way humans live based on their connection with nature and their interaction with society. A good example of industrialized life is "The Servants' Tartarus", written by Herman Melville, which is the story of an upper-class man who goes to buy envelopes for his seed company in a paper factory, located in the heart of the mountains. At first he understands that the world is not as it seems. He thought that modernization through the development of industry was creating a good life for human beings, but the reality is different as far as these machines create life Destroy It In this essay, I will introduce how the narrator through the story of "Tartarus of Maid" represents modern culture and the impact of modernization of industry on human life, such as the isolation of humans from the world, separation from nature, and industrialization. it causes greater human diversity, therefore creates the division of people into social classes. To begin with, the narrator sees industrialization as a factor that has isolated humans from the world. It features a group of companies that do nothing but eat, drink, and work in the paper mill. The waitresses who work for this company are far from the real world and connection with other human beings. In this story, the scene appears dark... in the center of the card... cultural transition from ancient to modern culture due to the effects of the industrial revolution which has lost the value of humanity. Modernization has a huge impact on the lives of human beings. On the one hand, it has changed our lives by making things easier. On the other hand, it is destroying it by isolating people from the world, giving them fewer opportunities to interact with each other and the ability to create a new generation. Furthermore, it is separating humans from nature by forcing them to live away from nature and harming their health due to pollution and artificial things that are produced. Furthermore, it created diversity among people by dividing them into classes based on gender and socioeconomic status. Thus, this cultural shift from ancient to modern has a huge influence on human life, and it remains to be seen how much the industrial revolution will affect society over time..
