The solution to eliminate the common core would not be cheap. More teachers and more resources would be needed. The fact is that every child has different learning abilities and different learning paces. There must be specific objectives for each class. Class sizes need to be smaller and students need to be surrounded by children who learn like them. The teacher should also be able to dedicate their time to teaching a subject. Some students find it difficult to understand things. With a common core there is no room to teach children only explanation and homework. Everything must be taught in a certain period of time and there are objectives that must be achieved at the end of the year. Although it is essential that there are objectives to be achieved, it is necessary to think about how many in a year and which objectives are really necessary. Most things taught in school are not applied to students in the real world. It is taught just to get to the next level. I also propose that standardized testing be eliminated all together. I think if we proposed this to the community the taxpayer would be bored. There are 17,370 students in Catawba County ("Wikipedia"). The entire county population is 155,056 ("Catawba County North Carolina QuickFacts from the US Census Bureau"), meaning 11% of the current population is potential Catawba
