Topic > Essay on Martial Fighting Styles - 707

There are five basic types of martial arts. The five basic types are Dragon, Snake, Crane, Tiger and Leopard. Bodidharma, an Indian monk, invented the five fighting styles. Shaolin monks adopted these fighting styles to defend themselves from thieves. More than 1,000 years later we now have many different types of martial arts. Leopard is one of the five fundamental fighting styles. The Leopard is strong against the Dragon's fighting style. He is weak against the Serpent's fighting style. The leopard is an offensive animal, so it relies on an offensive attack style. The Leopard uses rapid, relentless attacks and a rapid, continuous fire barrage. The Leopard uses multiple strikes at once to defeat an opponent rather than one big strike, so whether the attacker misses a strike is not important to the outcome. Use the sum of multiple shots to beat an opponent rather than a few powerful shots. Leopard uses constant movement. It doesn't stay in the same spot for more than the blink of an eye. You use shifting body movements and footwork to dodge and prepare for the next wave of strikes. The Leopard's defense is a secondary byproduct. The Leopard does not engage in any action. It can be a delightful surprise for the Dragon. The Leopard's reliance on multiple attacks leaves it vulnerable to the Snake's vital attack and grab attributes. Individual arts took parts of “animals” to make their style more effective. Wing Chun often uses a balance of all animals. A fighter usually switches between styles in the middle of a fight to change it up. Fashion designer Crane prefers a peaceful environment and would rather walk away from a conflict than consider participating in it. The Crane Stylist is a dancer, the most beautiful movement of all Shaolin animals. It has a beautiful shape, graceful and full of elegance. While every movement, every turn, every jump, every pause has meaning, often the practice of a Crane stylist's form will feel more like a dance. They are very light on the feet and can be mistaken for dancers of the highest caliber
