Abortion: state and federal laws unconstitutional Abortion has been a highly controversial topic from a political and cultural point of view for many years now. Democrats are considered pro-choice of women's right to abortion, while Republicans are against abortion due to their conservative culture. Women's right to have an abortion has been violated by both state and federal laws. Laws regulating women's right to abortion are unconstitutional because they prohibit women from deciding for themselves whether to have an abortion or not. Women should have the right to abortion without any regulation from state and federal governments because they may not be able to financially support the baby or it may be an unwanted pregnancy. Casey are unconstitutional because they control women's choice to have an abortion. Women with unwanted pregnancies may not be able to support or care for the baby and may suffer while growing up. The Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade that women should have access to abortion without restrictions as long as it is within the first three months of pregnancy.
