History is full of different turning points that have influenced and shaped the world today. These turning points prepared the world for changes in man's ideas and ways and continued over time in many areas of the world. One of the greatest turning points in history was the period of the Double Revolution. The Double Revolution marks the periods of the 18th century in which the Industrial Revolution began and the French Revolution ended. The French Revolution and the Industrial Revolution had an impact on political, social and economic views of the world. The Double Revolutions shared cause and effect situations with the land, the mistreatment of children and the involvement of women. Due to some interactions in the industrial revolution, it caused effects in the French revolution. In the Industrial Revolution, it began as a quest for colonization. The industrial countries of Europe, such as Great Britain, were looking for new land so that they could provide the raw materials needed to power industries and so that the land could serve as a market for finished industrial products. The territory was the key to success. “The countries added so much territory to their empire that one historian described it as 'The largest land grab movement in the history of the world'.” Due to the Industrial Revolution's land and population grab, the French population began to grow excessively becoming the main cause of social stress in France. The number of people living in France was initially 20 million, then over the course of the century it increased by another 10 million “as disease epidemics and food shortages declined and mortality declined.” (quote here) Whereas the effects of land growth in Industry......middle of paper......than what men received in the workforce. This was the beginning of the idea that women did more in the world than take care of children and the home. The French Revolution left a more definite mark with women participating in the march to Versailles and made their presence known in the war. Many of the causes of the French Revolution, both good and bad, began with an idea that occurred during the Industrial Revolution. The demographic crisis in France caused by land grabbing and populating land for factories and supplies during the Industrial Revolution. The cause of child crime and mortality rate is due to the mistreatment of poor children in need of work and parents who sold their children during the industrial revolution. Women's rights and involvement in the workforce and politics in both wars. They were all cause and effect of the two dual revolutions.
