There are many things in this world that are expensive. Many people will agree that raising children is one of them. Children need food, shelter, medical insurance and clothing. This is still no excuse for abortion. There are several government and non-government funded agencies and grants to help families who may be struggling to provide for their families. There are several options such as welfare, immediate benefits programs, food banks, thrift stores, and many others that help ease the stressful financial burden of raising children. There are programs like Medicaid, which provides health coverage to people earning below a certain income, which varies from state to state. There is also a CHIP (Children's Health Care and Insurance) program that provides coverage to nearly 8 million children in families with incomes too high to qualify for Medicaid, but cannot afford coverage, (Medicaid.gov.) Between Medicaid and coverage of the CHIP program is provided to more than 45 million children in the United States. (Medicaid.gov). All children in the Medicaid and CHIP program are eligible for comprehensive medical plans. (Children from Medicad.gov) Medical care is a large expense for some families. Medicaid and CHIP cover many children, but for some who don't qualify for either there is also Obamacare, which is supposed to be affordable healthcare for Americans. There are also local clinics that will see patients for little or nothing if people don't have insurance. There are also programs that help with food. Snap is a program whose goal is to end hunger and improve nutrition by providing monthly benefits to eligible low-income families to help them purchase the food they need for good health, (benefits, gov SNAP) Th… ... middle of paper ...... are. I still believe that a life is a life, no matter what their physical limitations are. There are children of all ages who live with these means but does this make them less human? Will it kill disabled people or cure their condition? Absolutely not. C. Everett Koop, a pediatric surgeon, states, "some of the unhappiest children have all their physical and mental faculties, while some of the happiest young people have carried burdens that most of us would find very difficult to bear." /www.benefits.gov/benefits/benefit-details/1578http://medicaid.gov/CHIP/CHIP-Program-Information.htmlhttp://medicaid.gov/Medicaid-CHIP-Program-Information/Medicaid-and-CHIP -Program-Information.htmlhttps://www.cfda.gov/index?s=program&mode=form&tab=core&id=2225059406dd5508834cde454b3e63b4http://www.feedingal.org/teenpregnancies.org
