First of all, I want to take this opportunity to express a thousand gratitude to my beloved teacher, MNY, for all her hard work in imparting skills and providing useful knowledge to me and my friends The learning experience with her throughout the semester is very enjoyable and fun. Regarding the assignment for the subject Teaching Listening and Speaking Skills in the Primary ESL Classroom, we are required to produce a lesson plan and conduct micro-teaching focused on listening and speaking skills. During the process of completing this assignment, I gained so many beneficial experiences. Based on the microteaching conducted, I have identified some strengths and weaknesses that I can use to improvise my teaching skills for future purposes. Before the microteaching session, we need to produce an individual lesson plan that fits a topic within the KSSR English language curriculum. Specify. For the individual assignment, I chose the topic “Safari Park” for third year KSSR students. The tasks I have planned are "Viewing Pictures", "Action Song", and "Missing Lyrics". All activities are conducted to improve students' listening and speaking skills, as well as improve their vocabulary. According to Willis (2008), by listening to a song, students can improve their musical-rhythmic intelligence which is related to responsiveness to listening or performing music. Therefore, the activity of listening and singing the song can help students with their listening skills. In addition to this, music can stimulate students' interest in learning as listening to music is fun and relaxing. Next, we are required to work in groups and choose the best lesson plan for the micr...... middle of paper ......and learning process in the classroom. Works Cited Frei, S. (2007).
