Catholic education has always been very important to me. I feel like without religion in my life I would be a complete mess. Having something to believe in is very important, because when you believe in something, you have a reason to continue living. Catholic education also gave me great morals and values that I can carry with me for the rest of my life. Thanks to my Catholic education, I was transformed into a kind, generous and faithful person. Finally, it is a wonderful thing to be able to learn in an atmosphere where everyone is Christ-like and positive. It makes learning much more comfortable and attractive. I feel that attending a Catholic high school will effortlessly make my life more stable, transform me into a person with better morals and values, and give me comfort and charm. After high school, I would like to become a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon. I've always wanted to become some sort of doctor, and dermatology and cosmetics both seem like interesting fields to go into. I often find myself trying home remedies, researching skin and cosmetic concerns, and even watching dermatology and cosmetic surgery shows! So those fields would be perfect for me! I would also love to be able to travel the world, as I have always had a spirit of adventure. But I'm not entirely sure this is exactly what I want to do when I get older. I think I'd like to understand more about what I want to do with my future while I'm in high school. Right now I'm in Girl Scout Troop #5914. We carry out many community services, such as beach cleaning, food collection, toy collection, etc. I have been an active Girl Scout since I was in second grade and will definitely continue my service after middle school. I'm starting too... half way through... or right now, my family isn't in the best financial situation. My father has been out of work for months as he has been terribly ill and is currently recovering from major surgery. Right now my mother supports our family of three children only with her salary. Without any financial aid I will not be able to attend a Catholic high school. But it's not just my family's financial problems that make me the best choice for the scholarship. If I am fortunate enough to receive the scholarship, I promise to represent it well. I will work steadily in my studies, continue my community service and participate in numerous school activities. I will work hard throughout the entire course of my higher education and will never relax. I will make the most of the scholarship I have been awarded and will definitely not take it for granted.
