This interesting and partially modern depiction of Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet, was shocking and bold. The director, Bas Luhrmann, successfully managed to cope with the 400-year cultural differences between the late 1990s and the late 1990s. Similarities and differences were both separated through ideas and physical objects. Two ideas that had obvious similarities between the written work and the film were the list of characters and the exchanged speech, which was the exact script of Shakespeare's original writings. Frankly, the idea of the delivery of this particular speech was expressed nonchalantly. The characters in the film differ from the characters in the written form in their idea of proper etiquette. The characters in the film acted less composed and very forgiving, with an air of ease and ease.
