Video games are games played on consoles with a display such as a monitor or touchscreen. People who play video games can become addicted to the game as they play continuously for long periods of time. Some games can cause the player to become frustrated with the game as they constantly fail or lose, players can have mental breakdowns and sometimes become physical. Families affected by video games suffer a loss of money and communication. I am convinced that video games have a negative impact on families, this argumentative essay will talk about the negative impacts that video games have on families. Video game addiction is a problem that many people face when they play games, they may be addicted without knowing it, but eventually their addiction becomes stronger over time and they will realize it.
