According to Boylan (2009), “ethics is the science of what is right and wrong in human behavior.” It is a method that allows us to organize our values ​​and pursue them. It helps us answer questions like: am I seeking my own happiness or am I sacrificing myself for a greater cause. Virtue ethics focuses on how to be; studies what makes people's character traits. A person who has these traits will act out of habit in certain ways not because of its consequences but because it is what a virtuous person would do. According to (Moore & Parker, 2009, p. 441) utilitarianism is the view that says “if an act will produce more happiness than alternatives, it is the right thing to do, and if it produced less happiness, it would be wrong to do it in place of an 'alternative that would produce more happiness'. Virtue theory and utilitarian theory are two of the main ethical theories. Although each theory deserves the general respect it has acquired, both are under constant attack from objections and scrutiny. Utilitarianism is criticized because it looks only at the results of actions, not the desires or intentions that motivate them, while virtue ethics is attacked because social standards are considered obsolete. Both theories are not perfect, nor completely wrong when considering philosophies and you follow each theory, utilitarianism turns out to be the superior ethical system to virtue theory.
