Nonverbal communication is defined by McCornack (2013) as the intentional or unintentional transmission of meaning through an individual's nonverbal physical and behavioral signals, while communication Verbal is defined as an exchange of spoken or written language with others during interactions. In my relationship with my brother, nonverbal and verbal communications are key because we feed off each other's reactions and responses. According to Fowler (2009), who conducted a study on how siblings communicate in an interpersonal relationship, but also why they communicate that way. His findings confirmed, in my personal relationship, that people respond to certain things depending on how they react or the context they find themselves in, just like my relationship with my brother. Two of the main concepts that emerged from this study were different types of siblings (gender) and different age groups differ in what they need from a sibling relationship. Even though I only have one brother and he is a boy, over the years my brother and I have evolved from being there for each other physically to also being there for each other mentally and emotionally. Verbal communication is incredibly vital to creating and sustaining any relationship, however, due to familiarity and immeasurable knowledge of each other's habits and pet peeves, nonverbal communication tends to be more effective for my brother
