Topic > Water is life - 962

“Water is the most critical resource in our lives and that of our children. The health of our waters is the primary measure of how we feel on earth.” (Luna Leopold) Can you imagine life without water? Would the earth be as dry as the desert? Could you survive without it? Is water important? Is it a need or a desire? There are many reasonable explanations to answer these questions. However, as I explore environmental issues in my home region, I want to focus on the uses of water. There are many people who use water imprudently and do not know how and when to protect our water. Every day we use water for many purposes such as drinking, showering, washing the car, doing laundry and for many uses that we do not see, but which are important for our lives. According to the National Atlas of the United States, they said, “We use water every day: for drinking, for watering our lawns and gardens, for recreation, and for many uses that we don't necessarily see but that are central to our lives. Large quantities of water are used to generate energy and to cool electricity-generating equipment. The water is used for irrigation, aquaculture and for many industrial processes and commercial uses. Our nation's groundwater and surface water are vital to our daily lives." In other words, they believe that water is the main source of our daily lives from an economic, social and environmental point of view. We use large amounts of water in homes, businesses, industries, and agriculture in the United States. We need to think about our water uses and learn to conserve them. Why should you conserve water? Conserving water is important when drought and water crisis occurs with this rainless climate change... middle of paper... caused by bacteria, viruses and parasites (protozoa and helminths) transmitted by water transmission agents of related diseases, also called vectors or intermediate hosts". Furthermore, “drainage channels or drainage water treatment and disposal plants are often used improperly to wash, drink and dispose of human excrement or other waste in an uncontrolled manner by the poorest and, therefore, most vulnerable social groups. . In this way, drainage water contributes to the transmission of diseases." (Chapter 7) I find this source to be very positive with excellent reports and research that have proven their point about the cause of drainage related health problems. This article contains a lot of information on which you can ask what are the causes of our health problems and whether we should do something about it. I assume that all their reports may concern people who have contributed to health problems.
