Louis Mallard had a heart condition which was taken very seriously by her family members, when the news of her husband's death came out, her family made sure to give her the news very sincerely. Her family and friends had no idea how to break the news to her. Once he realized what had happened to his husband, Louis went upstairs to let what had happened process in his mind. She was stunned when she learned that Mr Mallard had been in a fatal train accident, she could only think of what would become of her future without him. He began to think of all the positive things that followed Mr. Mallard's passing. Even though he thought he was wrong to be so optimistic in a situation like that. Suddenly, a change of events occurred when her husband walked through the door causing poor Mrs. Mallard to collapse from a heart disease that doctors called "joy that kills." Where there is good news, there will always be bad news. When Louis Mallard and his family found themselves in a tragic situation, they had no idea what the outcome would be. The only worry Mrs Mallard's family faced was that her heart was very weak and she would not take the news very well. She loved her husband, but when she heard the news she felt like she was finally free and could do more than usual, she felt both happy and sad that he was gone. She was a strong woman when she had to think that her husband would no longer be around, she thought of all the things that would happen to her. Mrs. Mallard's sister was very worried when she locked herself in the room, but she just needed time to think.
