One of the new trends coming is the technological advancement in video game consoles in three major companies, including Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo. All these companies have realized that in video games you don't have to sit on the couch and use a controller, it's okay to get up and interact with the game. We will discuss how the customer buys the trend, how they have reacted to technological advancements and last but not least how it will evolve in the future and may create other trends. But before we start describing all this, we first need to see how this trend began to spread among consumers, and how it started. This trend is becoming more and more famous, but where did it really start? The Nintendo company was the first to start this “get off the couch and play” trend by creating the “Wii” console. The game instead consisted of having to use a normal controller, they modified it so that you can use it to interact with the game by placing sensors that when you move the controller in a different direction. Another feature was that when you point it at a sensor placed below or above the TV, you may be able to move the cursor. The Wii was introduced on November 19, 2006. Competitors began to realize that Nintendo had the right idea, as Wii sales increased, so on November 10, 2010, Microsoft released Kinect, an accessory for the Xbox 360 that allowed you only use your voice for several commands, but mostly you were the controller. Instead of having a physical controller, the user could stand up and control an avatar or a different object that they could move with their hand. Sonny wasn't behind this... middle of paper... I'm making this product as small as possible for homeowners and also affordable for most families. This will make the consumer appreciate the product even more. This new product will create a new trend in virtual reality, it will forever change the way you interact with games, Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo will have to step it up if they want to compete. Trends come and go and if they last they change into different types of trends. Just like any trend, this one will change and I think it's not as far from changing as you think. Moving in front of the television has become the new way of playing video games, not everyone likes it, but it has certainly increased sales and in my opinion has doubled the reference market. Trends are everywhere, you might follow one and not even notice it or maybe one will lead you to another like nutrition, fitness, gaming..
