Encouraging control over one's health in relation to social and environmental interventions defines health promotion leading to health optimization (World Health Organization, 2016). It is essential that older adults participate in changing their lifestyle behavior and apply the knowledge they receive from healthcare professionals to promote health (World Health Organization, 2016). Elderly people mostly have difficulty taking care of themselves and need assistance to guide them towards their well-being. Therefore, nurses have a vital role in providing information and teaching people how to acquire healthy ideas to promote healthy behaviors. Health promotion is a crucial element in supporting an older adult living with a health problem such as type 2 diabetes mellitus. Patho...... center of paper ...... in energy sources.
