Topic > God's Love for His People - 1574

A great adventure began with a mundane day! For Daisy, it was another mundane Monday. Another day spent listening to the teacher lecture the class; however, something different was starting to happen inside her. As he heard his teacher say in Genesis 1:1; 26 - 27; 31 and John 1; 3:16 - 18 God was the creator of the heavens, the earth, and everything in them. He loved us so much that He gave everything He had so that we could live with Him for eternity. Just as Jonah and Jesus found peace in the midst of the fiercest storms in Jonah 1:5-6 and Mark 4:38-40; we can do it too. As Daisy sat in class listening to her teacher lecture on the parallels between the Old and New Testaments, she began to realize that there was, is, and will never be a greater love story than the love of God for His people. This is incredibly awesome! Daisy was consumed with excitement as she shared her new revelations with her best friend Isabella. Daisy explained that the New Testament confirms what the Old Testament says about giving authority to the word of God and His plan to be accomplished here on Earth. Isabella said, "How can that be possible?" Daisy said, “The prophecies in the Old Testament are confirmed through people, who actually live out the prophecies, when and where God decides.” Isabella said, "I don't think so. Give me an example." Daisy said, "I thought you'd never ask." Daisy explained how Hosea prophesied as God said, "1 and 15 Out of Egypt I called my Son," in Hosea 11:1, and Matthew confirmed Hosea's prophecy, when Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus fled to Egypt from Herod in Matthew 2:14-15 (NRSV). Isabella said, “Wow! This is a revelation, I had never thought about scripture this way before. I bet he's gone."From...... middle of paper ...... the word with people, and the fact that He is honestly the same in the Old and New Testaments, along with the fact His love for us will never end.” Daisy and Isabella both agree that once people understand Psalms 37:4-6 and Matthew 7:7, nothing can keep them from a loving and generous God, who He only expects our trust and commitment. Daniel 3:25-27 and Matthew 14:22-25, Jesus walked in fire and on water for and with his brothers he has never forsaken any of us. Works CitedBibleGateway.com, NP Network. 13th ed.
