There is not much we can do to help people in other countries, even though the estimated price tag for helping half of the countries that need water is 23 billion US dollars . If we consider the number of countries and deaths accounted for, $23 billion is not a lot of money judging by the problem at hand. The UN already contributes 16 billion dollars a year, although the problem increases every year because our planet's water reserves are scarce. My goal with this assignment is to demonstrate that water problems do not only affect third world countries, but affect the entire earth, and that in third world countries sanitation is very dangerous for health because water is in short supply. I believe that to solve this problem we must first increase easy access water supplies to third world countries, then we can focus on easier access in rural areas because out of the 1.1 billion people who do not have access to easy water supply access, 84% live in rural areas. In conclusion, I believe that if we solve the problem of water and sanitation in third world countries and in our own country, it will help us and also help other aspects of human life.
