Attack on the World Trade CenterTerrorism is the problem of the 21st century. Throughout history it has appeared in many different ways: planes, ships, hijacked trains. But never has terrorism been committed so terribly as on Tuesday, September 11 in New York City. This tragedy has affected us all. It was beautiful Tuesday morning. Everyone was rushing to work in the most beautiful and extraordinary city in the world. Planes in the sky were a normal routine in this city at that time. Manhattan was ready to welcome millions of residents and tourists. Everyone went about their own business. He deluded himself that nothing could disturb this normal existence. Quickly, two passenger planes, like terror envoys, crashed into both World Trade Center towers. Chunks of debris fell with a terrifying thunder. Screams of terror resonated in the hearts of thousands of people from all over the world. Ten minutes later, people around the world with shocking fear could watch as the two tallest buildings in the world were collapsing, taking away thousands of innocent lives. People stared in awe at the empty space, which was once the tenth wonder of the world. Now, this is just a cloud of dust. Many firefighters and police officers rushed into the burning buildings to save innocent lives. They weren't thinking about their lives at that moment. I woke up around 9. As usual I turned on the TV. I saw a terrible picture of a tower and a lot of smoke was coming out of it. Still not realizing what was happening, I went to another room to pack my bags for college. At the time I thought it was a normal fire and nothing serious. When I got on the bus I saw an unusual confusion among the people. I could feel the panic and fear among the people. I wanted to use my cell phone to call my friend to see if he is okay, but it didn't work. Everyone was talking about the terrorist attacks, but I never thought that the World Trade Center could collapse, just disappear. I heard that the Twin Towers collapsed while I was in music class. I still couldn't realize what was happening in New York. I walked out of Brooklyn College and went to Flatbush Avenue. There I saw skies filled with black smoke.
