Wicca the Complete Craft was written by DJ Conway. This book was published by Crossing Press in 2001. It covers and analyzes in great depth the many ceremonies, traditions, holidays, beliefs and much more of the Wiccan religion. Wicca the Complete Craft was written with the intent of helping someone navigate the process of joining the Wiccan religion rather than a reference for someone simply wanting to learn about the religion. Don't be misled though, the book provides a wonderful insight into religion. It just wasn't written with that intent. It provides numerous lists and step-by-step instructions but very few images and diagrams. The content of the book did not require many diagrams or pictures, the list and step by step instructions were sufficient. I give Wicca the Complete Craft 4.7 stars on a 5.0 scale. The only thing that stopped me from giving Wicca the Complete Craft 5.0 stars is that the author, DJ Conway, came across as a bit biased at times. It was very subtle, but managed to insert comments that the book could have done without. You can tell that he is very passionate and very serious about his religion, Wicca. I think he's great, but the comments he puts in every now and then can turn people off or upset them. I ignored them and I'm so glad I did because the Wiccan religion is fascinating and I learned so much from Wicca the Complete Craft. Wicca is an extremely ancient religion. Wiccan beliefs and opinions are so alien to more modern religions such as Christianity and Judaism. An important aspect of the Wiccan religion is the covens. A coven is basically a group of 3 or more witches (witches is what people in the Wiccan religion call themselves) who gather... middle of paper... Has touched base on everything you need to know become a witch. She also provided exercises to help you on your journey to becoming a witch. For the spell work aspect of the Wiccan religion he has provided step by step instructions on several spells. Go through all the processes to become a witch. He made the read easy to understand and if there is a word you don't recognize you can most likely find it in the many little dictionaries he provided on words having to do with the Wiccan religion throughout the book. When the need arises, it provides images and graphs. In the chapter on runes there is a particularly useful table. There are many lists in this book and they are very helpful. Overall Wicca The Complete Craft was a great read. Works Cited Wicca the Complete Craft by DJ Conway
