Personally, I believe I have gained valuable knowledge during my English classes. I'm recently finishing my third English course in college and it's been a great experience, those courses have helped and influenced me a lot in my writing. I believe I have done much more than simply improve my writing skills. I gained some knowledge of rhetoric and genres, learned about the writing process and how to appropriately enter a conversation without losing my writing style. The first English course I took in college was a basic introduction to writing, during this course we learned how to write a good essay, we learned techniques to improve our writing, and we learned how to organize our ideas and place them logically. We discussed a lot and during this class it was the first time I was involved in peer review. My second class I took was with the same professor, Mr. Braun. I believe he was a great educator and really showed interest in helping his students, that's why when I had the opportunity I chose him as my professor
