By far the most popular music genre, pop is considered nothing more than a large amount of unoriginal music, performed to sold-out audiences, and is nothing more what a money making ploy. I believe this is not true. Just because they are a higher earning genre, and care less about the social aspect, doesn't mean they don't care about the music they play. Even though there are sellouts in the world, music is a reflection of the soul and there are many pop musicians who perform music because they like it more than money. They are the ones who can start with no money, and not let their music be affected when they have it, the true artists. The people who listen to it are just normal people who maybe aren't so much interested in the meaning of the music as they are just enjoying listening to it, when in the end that's the whole reason why the music exists. In its rawest form all music is a means of entertainment. A medium of entertainment that has been taken and transformed into a mirror of anyone's very being
