Academic dishonesty of any kind is not tolerated with three outcomes listed as possibilities for the school to find the right cause of academic dishonesty which includes cheating and plagiarism. The school may give a zero for the exam in question, award an F for the course, or refer the student for expulsion, probation, or suspension. I read it before I knew what the outcome would be to prepare for the worst. Although I was disappointed to receive a 0 on the exam I understand the gravity of what happened. I am very lucky to have only received 0 results and no more severe ones. Never in a million years did I believe this section would be something I would have to read over and over again to get perspective on what could have been. I need to take the opportunity to stay in the program to show that I belong in that program and that I can become a great nurse and grow and learn from this experience. I appreciate the nursing administration for allowing me to continue in the program and realize more than ever that this is in my hands and that I control what happens.
