Human Resources (HR) Roles and Responsibilities In a conversation with my boss, K. Hodges (personal communication, May 16, 2007), companies are trying to change the role of their human resources organization to an organization that represents a highly proactive partner, playing a leadership role in helping to frame the company's operational strategies to achieve business objectives. This is an evolving role of human resource management (HRM). This leadership role includes globalization, technology, diversity, e-business and ethics. PR Newswire (2007) published an article on globalization on April 27, 2007. Economist.com (2001) argued that globalization's antagonists argue that poor countries are losers from global integration. The Economist presented a World Bank report that demolishes claims about the economies of poor countries being more global... half of the document... mi.com/pqdweb?index.Economist.com (2001).
